Humans are ubiquitous and virtually identical to the humans of our real world. The only place that humans are not commonly found are those places where nothing lives. The only civilized place in the world where they are a minority is the far north, where the isolationist elves thrive.
Unlike the other common species of the world, humans reproduce freely, age, and die. It is said by some that humans were made in the image of the Hours as they once existed in time immemorial. It is said by others that they are the most favored of the gods, for they die and go to them in the heavens while the other races must live and toil on the earth.
It is also said that all the other species are imitations of man. That they retain the vague shape and resemblance of man, but not the core essence of their pure creation.
Whatever the case may be, humans are the most widespread lineage on the whole of the world.
